We have been praying Ephesians 6:10-18 over the past couple months. Today I received such an incredible gift from the most wonderful sister int he world! She gave me my own little soldier in armor to put under my pillow and set as a reminder to put on the Armor of God. Here is a little bit of her note (sorry, Amy, hope you don't mind...):
"Just as a soldier would never go into battle without his helmet or his sword or his shield...you too, need to daily put on the armor of God. You are going into battle and Satan is not about to easily back down so be prepared! Your little soldier is your reminder...so when you see him you will remember to check yourself and make sure you are ready for battle. Remember this battle, too, belongs to the Lord. There is NO better King to fight for! Your belt of truth is to protect you from satan's lies. Your breastplate of righteousness is your brand new clean heart that Jesus cleansed for us-He took away our stained old one! Your shoes of Good News of Peace is the good news you will be sharing with these women. Remember, He will give you the right words...Your shield of faith is knowing that even when things are bad, God is still there with you and He cares. Your helmet of salvation is once Christ is in your heart you can trust in His promises and no one can take that away! Your sword of the spirit is for when satan is trying to get you to do something wrong, you can stop & think about what the Bible says...."
I am so blessed to have so many wonderful family and friends supporting us on this trip! Thank you so much! my little soldier......
Our group just started their own blog that will be updated regularly while we are in Bangkok. I have the link posted by the my blog list. It's called Thru the eyes. This will probably be a better site to follow since someone is set to updated daily (but I will still try to updated here as well!)
